By this point I was so zonked out half the time I could not tell you what I was in line for. People would ask and all I had was like "books." It seemed like the autographing lines had thinned out (maybe?) and I had picked up most of the galley drops I was hoping for. I managed to score autographs for several authors before lunch! Including Michael Grant which made my day.
Me being a total cheeseball |
The cool-ish part was a Google employee was in front of me with his Google Glass on. I tried not to pepper him with too many nerdy questions. O_o Behind me in line was a closing editor for Spencer Hill Press which seems like an awesome job and I did ask him all the questions. I thank him for entertaining me. The actually Stan Lee part of the line was brief and intense. Lots of bodyguards, no photos allowed and the books were pre-signed.
The good news is I got to the BookCon panel before it started. The panel was for the movie adaptation of This is Where I Leave You with Jason Bateman, Tina Fey, Jonathan Tropper and Shawn Levy. The best part was not the actual panel but all the sneak peek scenes. I will definitely be seeing this when it comes out!
Next I headed out to the Blogger picnic!! I had been waiting for this all week. It was rush hour so I could not find a cab to save my life. Sooo... I hoofed it all the way to Central Park. It was easy to fins everyone and so I took sometime to chill out and mingle. Then the rain came... I freaked out and totally ran.

YAY the blogger picnic! So happy I got to see you again after the line for the ToG Tote Bag (♥) but it sucked that it started raining so early on. I wish you'd stayed a bit though cause it cleared it quick enough and then we headed out to McGees to hang out some more :D Also: jealous that you got to meet Stan Lee! Awesome recap ^^
