I never thought I would have created anything that other people would read much less bookish people that love books as much as I do. I've read so many great books this past year, met so many great blogger/author/readers and gone on some silly book adventures.

I'm so thankful for all the satisfying conclusions to series that came out this year. It's tough to see a favourite series end but it's easier when the final books are amazing!
ReplyDeleteI lot, but I think True Colors by Krysten Lindsay Hager is my favorite. It's such an amazing read and the writer has become a great friend.
ReplyDeleteSo many! Moloka'i by Alan Brennert is my absolute favorite of the year--absolutely gorgeous book. Also loved Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover and Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover. And Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins! So many :)

ReplyDeleteThe book that changed my life this year was Trim Healthy Mama. I lost 30 lbs already from making these crucial changes to my diet! I love life so much more!

ReplyDeleteI'm thankful that I read The Raven Boys because I discovered a phenomenal writer and I can't wait to read the rest of the series. I am also thankful I read Stolen Songbird, because it was a wonderful debut and I am looking forward to more from Danielle Jensen as well!

ReplyDeleteThe books I am most thankful for reading this year are the ones I've read with my kids. We read lots and lots of picture books, but within the past several weeks I've also read two of Beverly Cleary's Ramona books with my daughters

ReplyDeleteTwo of the books I'm most thankful I read this year are "Code Name Verity" and "Rose Under Fire" by Elizabeth Wein. I have been missing my grandfather something fierce lately, and he served in the Navy during World War II, which is the time period during which both books are set. These books triggered memories of stories he'd told me as a child that I'd forgotten. For a brief time, it felt like getting him back.

ReplyDeleteWell, there is a series and a book that I am way behind on. The series is the Lynburn Legacy series by Sarah Rees Brennan. The one I should have read a long time ago? The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater. It is awesome, and the writing is some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. Also, between Kami from Lynburn Leg and Blue from Raven, I feel like I have found myself written in the pages of two stories, and that is kind of cool!

ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for each and every book I get to read. They always transport me to a different time/place and I get to read about interesting lives. The book that most affected me most (in fact I almost couldn't read it) was Escape From Camp 14. I don't remember the author's name but is was a true story about the only person to escape from North Korea's prison camp 14. And these prison camps are operating still today.
