ReplyDeleteI've never been shopping on Black Friday, except sometimes online. My mom always stays home on that day and since I don't drive yet, I've always stayed home with her. It would be cool to go shopping on Black Friday just to see how it is. Eventually, I'll do that. :)

Usually I have to work on Black Friday, but if I manage to have the day off, I will most likely end up at Target or Best Buy. I have a lot of nephews and a husband and they all enjoy video games!
ReplyDeleteI live outside the US so we don't have Black Friday sales but one of my favorite shopping spots is Amazon, virtually, understandably, and of course local bookstores physically. :)

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thanksgiving tradition: my whole family gather for a good meal and chat, we all avoid the shopping crowds.
ReplyDeleteLiving in Italy we don't have Black Friday or Thanksgiving for that matter...but I do love to shop in the small shops in the town center if possible. I do check and double check all kinds of reviews online for pretty much anything I buy though. Amazon is also my friend especially for books and for special things I can't really find around here.

ReplyDeleteMy Black Friday is always something like this: lots of coffee, leftovers (!), reading and watching a bit of tv with family. Boring but nice, and I do my online shopping any day from now until the big day.
ReplyDeleteNo Black Friday Traditions. I prefer to stay home with a good book and avoid the Holiday Crowds. It gets to crazy for me. With Thanksgiving we do have a tradition of making a pecan pie and sweet potato casserole with the traditional turkey. Thanks for the giveaway!

ReplyDeleteThe 1st year I experienced black friday I was 21 and just helped grand open a plus store (like a super walmart without clothes) and there I was cashing in entertainment at 5 am and I swore I'd never shop black friday lol a couple years later my best Meade me tag team with her for a new TV for her mom.... haven't been out since I always request off and hide lol...although I have gotten some deals online

ReplyDeleteMy black Friday tradition is to avoid it at all costs. Some of my favorite shopping spots are Sam's Club, Bed Bath & Beyond and the local merchant's on main street. I live in Rapid City, SD which is relatively small and I like support the small business owner.

ReplyDeleteI have gone shopping on Black Friday for the past 12 years or more....except for this year. I opted out of the Thursday sales and honestly, didn't miss it much. I didn't miss the 2 hour lines outside in the cold, or the crowds, or the hour long line to checkout. I did still shop online though. A girl can't give up ALL of the sales.

ReplyDeleteI do not do the whole Black Friday shopping thing. I actually get really stressed out just thinking about it. I prefer cyber monday lol. Normally on Black Friday, my family and I will put up the Christmas tree. It's kind of an unspoken tradition.

My mom & I usually go Black Friday shopping together. But this year she was unable to go with me so I went by myself. Our tradition was to go early and score the best deals but with more & more stores having sales on Thanksgiving Day we don't have to wake up at the crack or dawn anymore! Now we wake up around 8 am or so & just go shopping.
