Enough with the babbling... here's what Kendare had to say about the Mortal Gods release and the cover!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The title Mortal Gods is kind of an oxymoron. What gives?
It's pretty literal this time. The Olympian gods are no longer immortal. They're dying strange, disgusting deaths. They're literally, mortal gods.
So we said goodbye to some key characters in Antigoddess. Any more heartbreaking surprises awaiting us in Mortal Gods?
Absolutely! But I can't tell you who, or how, or why :)
How would you describe Cassandra's journey as she navigates deeper into the world of Gods?
Transformative. Poor girl goes through a lot. I like to think of her path as sort of inverse to Athena's. While being around Cassandra and the other mortals, along with grappling with her own mortality makes Athena find her humanity, being involved in the gods' struggle slowly makes Cassandra lose hers. Oh, how I wish those girls could just get along. Maybe one day. Maybe not.
